In 2009 she started working as a consultant at Menéndez & Asociados Abogados. She is currently a partner at this firm.
She is a specialist in natural resources, energy and, above all, water law. Since joining the Barcelona Bar Association in 2013, she has acquired significant experience in contentious-administrative litigation in the areas of her specialty, which covers administrative concessions, public procurement and public water supply services.
Her publications include: “El derecho a regar, entre la planificación hidrológica y el mercado del agua” (1996), “El Mercado de derechos a contaminar: régimen jurídico-público del mercado comunitario de derechos de emisión en España” (VV.AA., 2007), “Aguas y Cuenca del Duero” (2008), “Sobre la regulación de los servicios urbanos del agua” (2015) and the chapter on water in “Memento Práctico de Medio Ambiente” (2019).
She has been an alternate magistrate in the High Court of Justice of Castilla y León (1999); training coordinator for the Government of Cantabria (2000-2002) and member of the Comisión Mixta de Transferencias of Castilla y León (2011-2015). She belongs to the Spanish Association of Administrative Law Professors and is a member of the Observatory of Environmental Policies, coauthoring the chapter “Waters” in its annual publication.
